This system, which can be combined with any type of industrial vacuum cleaner, from single-phase to three-phase, also contributes to the creation of a safer working environment for operators. In this article, we explain how it works and what the benefits of this innovation are.
What is the Longopac® system
RIBO, together with Longopac®, has designed a system consisting of our COMPAIR industrial vacuum cleaner connected to a continuous bag for the collection of the suctioned material. The length of the bag can vary from 60 to 110 meters in lenght depending on the application for which it is used.
Ideal for the construction industry, for surface treatment and, more generally, for all those industries in which fine and potentially toxic dust is formed, our COMPAIR Longopac® is the perfect system for the effective and fast collection of residues, without them coming into contact with the environment and the operator.
How does it work
The COMPAIR Longopac® by RIBO provides for the unloading of the material every time the vacuum cleaner is switched off. Under the vacuum cleaner, there is a hopper with paddle discharge, which is connected to the Longopac® bag: once the suction is completed, the bag loses pressure and collects the material in the hopper. At this point, the bag is sealed with a band, another band is placed just above it and cut in half between the two bands. Now the vacuum cleaner is ready to start the cycle all over again.
Advantages
Thanks to this innovative waste disposal system, the suctioned material never comes into contact with the air or the operator, since the bag is isolated and totally hygienic. In this way, even the workplaces are healthier, as there is no dispersion of material into the environment. This is particularly useful in chemical-pharmaceutical industries where the inhalation of an active ingredient can be toxic to the operator. This system is also particularly used in combination with floor sanding and polishing machines, which generate fine dust that can be harmful if inhaled.
Another advantage of the new COMPAIR Longopac® is its usability in ATEX 21 environments: in fact, our COMPAIR is a compressed air industrial vacuum cleaner, which is well suited for use in areas where electricity is not allowed or where the risk of explosion is maximum. Even the painting of the COMPAIR is suitable for ATEX environments: in fact, the vacuum cleaner is treated with conductive paint, with a new coloring in shades of bluish gray.
